The City of Singapore: Part 1 (Toy Museum)

Throwback December 2009.

First Day. Christmas Celebration. The first trip we had outside the country aside from Jeddah. It's also the one and only trip we had for free. (Free round trip from Philippines to Singapore and Free Hotel Check in Peninsula Hotel) We had just some few strolls in within the vicinity and ate Mcdonalds! Well, we didn't venture so much about food since Mcdonalds is just around the corner;)

(riding the bus all the way to Peninsula)

Went outside the country and still eats Mcdo! :D

Second Day. Toy Museum
Since Universals Studios was still on the process of building, this places is one the most checked itinerary we have before we set foot in Singapore.
The Mint Museum of Toys (26 Seah St, Singapore 188382)
Where you can actually see different kinds of toys and their very own evolution, posters, lunchboxes, and a lot more.

I would love to have one of those Beatles shoes....

When Mickey is......... Mickey?

Fountain of Wealth. One of the largest fountain in the world listed in the 1998 Guinness Book of World Records (Located at Suntec City, the Largest Shopping Mall in Singapore)

I don't have photo's of us walking inside the Fountain's base since it's a bit hard to walk while your hands are touching the fountain's water and taking pictures (so epic fail)

Evening Stroll. I would like to share to you one funny story of our evening stroll. Since our trip was free, we have tons of coupon of "Free Food" including this buy one take one large Pizza. Hungry, tired and exhausted, we still went on finding this free pizza to feed our hungry stomachs. Ask directions, look at the map, walk for few more (almost 2 -3 hours of just walking), we even ended up finding some Pubs in the middle of the night. Unfortunately we didn't find this free pizza, so we just went back to our hotel and bought some instant noodles in 7/11.
Teheeeee... Bonding with siblings is one of the best thing while your on vacation.

Year 2009. Where all of my photos were awkwardly taken in a different manner. As a tourist, I can say that walking is more fun than riding. Even if I haven't experienced riding their taxis, buses, just to get on different location in Singapore, WALKING is SUPER FUN, especially when you're with family and friends. And of course the different accounts of memories you have.

The Perks of Having Thick Curly Hair!

(PRESENTING MY HAIR!) teheeeeeeee!!!

Many of you wouldn't know what is it like to have extremely thick, curly, black hair feels. It's like living a life with a lion king hair, well actually a life as a walking Poodle! It's on the genes! My dad's family has extremely kinky hair that being a "Kulot" means your really one of us, and on my mom's side, they all have really thick strands and thick hair, so when you combine them, it's like a huge haystack inplant on your head!

1. For others, there's this so called drama of asking "Is it really hard to brush your hair?"

Seriously?? Not everything you see on Movie is TRUE! My Hair might look like as if it was hit by a storm but it's really soft and not hard to brush! (GOSH! I hate to admit but it's partially true! PARTIALLY)
Yes! Broke my mom's brush... The brush is even older than me!.teheee

2. I hate Shampoo/ Conditioner Commercials!

I have tried different shampoo, conditioners that promised me to have smooth and silky hair but none of them work!

(why didn't my mom tell me everything was just commercial magic!)

3. Salon scares me! and Stylists always have a hard time fixing my hair!
Every time I went to a salon, the most common thing they say "Oh you're hair is so thick", "Jackpot ka diyan!", "Ang bigat nito noh!" or hindi kaya ng rebond to... HAHAHA... I feel really sorry for every hairstylists who have weigh, touched, iron, blower and shampooed my hair, I can see their facial expressions and extreme 'sigh' whenever they fixed my hair... I'm really sorry, but I have been carrying this hair for like forever! The best part of being in a salon is that once your hair is done "Oh Hello There!"

5. REBONDING seems to be a bad idea!
You know what I mean! It looks so flat, it's not cool! It looks unreal! And you just don't know where to put it because you're so afraid that your hair will go back just the way it where before...

6. It's like a pyramid! It draws so much emotions!
Having curly hair draws attention, it's so thick and huge you just want to cover it, but since it's you, and you're proud to have such hair, who cares!! What could be worse, you love water so much because it makes your locks stick together, but when the rain comes, good luck with that! When winter comes thank goodness you have thick hair, but when summer knocks oh come on, so much heat!

7. It's never boring!
Having Curly hair means no trouble of fixing it. You won't care that much if it gets really curly after doing so many braids, or use extreme hairspray just to make it stay into place, you can iron, blower, cut, or simply just put it up there, it's up to you! :D

8. Kapag "Kulot Salot"

Kapag Kulot salot agad! Di ba pwedeng kasi inborn lang talaga!

Boy Kulot by Rocksteaddy was famous among peers especially when  your the one carrying the name "Kulot" . When they utterly say "Kinky or Kulot" in a sarcastic manner, you kinda give them this so called death stare "Mind your language" HAHAHAHA... or "Mag excuse ka naman! Masakit eh"

9. But what's more important is that you embrace who you are! The freedom just to be you! No matter how curly, how thick and how heavy your hair is.

"Because they are all perfect, just the way you are!" :D

PRAY.....

Dear God,
I can’t sleep the other night
Thinking of hundreds of things that couldn’t be said
My tears flowing endlessly
I don’t know how to  make it stop
I am so scared
My heart pounding so fast i couldn’t breathe
I have a lot of questions
You have already answered
But I just don’t understand
Why certain things have to be like this…
I pray for the hope
That seems to fade away
I pray for light
To guide us in our paths
I pray for faith
To remind us to just hold one
I pray for peace
To end all wars in the world
I pray for healing
To heal every sick
I pray for strenght
So that we could make it through
I pray to end all our sufferings
And shower us with tenderness in our heart
To let us feel we are love
To forget all struggles
To ease all pain
To end all storms
We offer everything to you Dear God
Please hear our prayers.

Honestly speaking, I couldn’t really sleep the other night after  I have read, watch or hear the news about earthquakes and stuff. Seeing it all over the net gives me too much chills, I wish and pray that it wouldn’t hit the Philippines. I am really scared especially when I have read this one article about “The Great Manila Earthquake” getrealphilippines.com/blog/2015/05/the-great-manila-earthquake-is-coming-and-prayer-wont-stop-it/ PhilVocs had already announced the different places near the Fault line. To have a cleared view about it, you can download it at their site or check it on their google maps here http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/nation/metro-manila/05/20/15/look-valley-fault-system-made-easy-google-maps

Lets all hold our hands pray everyone that this earthquake wouldn’t hit our country….
BE SAFE>….
