Anime-ate your World!

Relive the fantasy. Relive the ANIMATION! Re-imagine. Just like in the past, my imagination seems to be a little bit out of control. I guess fairy's, dragons, talking animals, knight and the shinning armor would be pleased if I had great stories for them to hear about my dream destination/adventure. JAPAN! Can't wait to meet you! And it makes my heart jump with glee when I have read a news about Studio Ghibli "THEME PARK"! Not just that there are also cafe's here in the Philippines that are offering Japanese Anime Vibes such as Prizone Cafe in Malate (calling all ONE PIECE fans) and the Red Monster Cafe Shop in Maginhawa. It would be totally fun, to actually see your faves for real! :) I would love to see Totoro and hug him! hihihi

Another favorite of mine is ANIME! Japanese anime made me want to be a cartoonist when I was young! After being hooked with Sailormoon, Pokemon, Digimon, Naruto and Kaichou Wa Maid Sama, my anime fan girling goes hardcore! Not to mention the different Studio Ghibli movies I have watched (in Japanese and English Dub hahah define hardcore!)

After indulging myself into reliving my favorites here in the Philippines (Kdrama Feels), since my second dream destination is still on the works here’s my take on my favorite Japanese Series and Movies! (insert song: the guts to never give up/Naruto) and if that moment would come for real, this would be something I would look back, that once upon a time, I was still dreaming about it, and here I am now! Hihihi… 

1. PONYO's Ramen - Well it's not exactly the Ponyo's Ramen but Chowking's Wanton Soup, but if you really want to have the taste of Ponyo's ramen or recreate the ramen you can watch the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTZffjrTR1M

2. Grave of Fireflies Candy - You can see/buy this at any Daiso Shop here in the Philippines. Upon seeing this, my heart had melted like ice-cream, I could possibly still feel the sadness that had struck me while watching this movie.

3. Only Yesterday - FARMING scene - Since my family lived in the Province, I took a snap shot of what is it like living there. Here in the Philippines, I commonly hear my uncles and aunts used to say whenever they feel like they need some fresh air away from their busy jobs, they would tell us "Parang gusto kong manirahan ng payak na pamumuhay". Living in the province makes life simpler, enjoying nature, enjoying your harvests and all :)

3. The Cat Returns - Oh hello there Mr. Baron! - Well, I wanted to name our cat Baron because of it's color and lately I just realize that it's not applicable for her. HAHAHA because when I came back from the city she has a lot of Kutings. From Baron to Muning :D

4. The Tale of Princess Kaguya - Another pic from the cherry blossoms, hahaha I mean Bougainvillea :) Hello Princess! :) Bougainvillea is very pretty on summer! But since the Philippines is entering it's rainy season, the petals are now saying good bye to the good old summer! :) 

5.       Takoyaki in Sailormoon – Usagi has the biggest appetite among the 5 sailor scouts, seeing her eating this dish made me feel as if I am connected with her since I love takoyaki! Hahaha not to mention Mamarou at the back holding too many finish box of takoyaki

6.       The eat all you can feels like No face – took this photo during our family dinner/reunion in an eat all you can restaurant. That happiest feeling when all the food you like is being serve in the table and the buffet is over powering. I would re-enact that scene where he shouted “I want to eat everything!”

7.       The Mcdonalds Anime – all feels! I really love how Mcdonalds Japan introduces this cute commercial, it was a sensation in all social media accounts. It made me remember that very first moment when I got my happy meal! It’s like childhood/adulthood!

8. Family Mart - one of my other favorite anime series, this scene is where Ryu was walking Nagato to her home, it was the time when Nagato had change the time space continuum, and they needed to get back from the time it was before.

Watched WonderWoman!

Watched Wonder Woman and all was left in me was awe! After years of not watching a movie on cinemas, my heart was left pounding. Not to mention the moment when you want to exclaimed “Ang saya maging babae” well this notion of me exclaiming words such as this inspired me to positively believe in what I believe, to look on a positive outlook in life even if others wouldn’t dare to jive in with and so and so forth! 

The same way as Wonder Woman would entail in viewers like me. There’s one line she said (SPOILER) not basically the exact words but as far as I remember “Who will I be if I stay?” the moment when she was leaving their island to search for Eros and go with Steve Trevor. My best friend and I started smirking at each other because those words are somehow a wakeup call to us to explore, take risks, dive in, and move forward towards that one belief you had ( I want to be someone). Even if Diana was warned by her mother to not go, she was stubborn enough to seek for that calling in her heart and help the humans.

The movie also shows how women could be as compassionate as ever even on times of war and depression. She see’s all the best way she could do to help, (SPOILER) and even if Captain Steve tells her that there’s nothing they could do to save others because it’s already been happening in years, she stands on her will and save as many people as possible (not to mention her super strength and bravery!).

Gal Gadot’s portrayal of Wonder Woman is literally like she is WONDER WOMAN! All hats to her! She is not just incredibly stunning, her height was pretty much a dream for girls like me, she became a hero to everyone who watched her (not to mention she’s really a hero since she had worked in the military). The chemistry!! Her chemistry with Chris Pine is oozing! It’s like hearts everywhere, even by just looking at one another it’s all sparks fly!

Before I end this blog of mine, this movie also tells us, that we, as humans are created with knowledge of knowing what is right and what is wrong and the god of war, Eros just whisper things on us and it’s just up to us to follow what we think is right and what we think is wrong. We humans create the world we live in, we humans made this war, we were trapped in jealousy, weakness, self-doubts and notion of supremacy! We somehow forgotten the heart of compassion, the heart of strong-willed, humbleness, kindness, and forgiveness, because of this things, it became a crucial way of destroying one another. War is not just about guns, but on how we scrutinize others with words (words that act like swords that pierce each other’s heart). Just like Diana Prince’s last words from the movie “I learnt that inside every one of them there will always be both. The choice each must make for themselves - something no hero will ever defeat.”

I really hope that the world we live in today would be a better place for our children’s children. The same as what Captain Steve said “I believe that this war should end”. So that the world we live in today would be a world that is peaceful and full of harmony, we might have different opinions in life, but after every argument we must learn to forgive. Just like what Wonder Woman said, that only love can truly save the world. J

The red scarf of love; it’s actually also noticeable in a lot of Kdrama’s such as Goblin, Missing You, Uncontrollably fond and more), whether it’s for fashion a visual connection of love, or just a plain scarf. I also remember how this scarf was visible in anime’s too, like Hinata made Naruto a red scarf, or Misaki made a red scarf for Takumi :D

The so called true symbol of  love; “Wagas na pag-ibig!” at every end of a drama or in the middle of the drama, our protagonist would declare their love for one another via jewelry, it may be a ring, or a necklace or a bracelet. A very notable item when professing your one great love to your one true love :D

The unnoticeable white bag

Okay, this item seems to be new in the Kdrama world, and I have only noticed this one on Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. And then when I have watched other drama’s such as Its Okay it’s love, She Was Pretty, Suspicious Partner and recently starting Fight My way, we can see this white bag on our leading ladies shoulder. Well it’s not as visible as the other items but it’s there and sometimes it comes with design! :D

Another new thing in Kdrama and I am loving it! Pink Hoodies! Despite of its feminine and soft color, this Pink Hoodies are making it's trend as it portray strong women of this generation! Exhibit A: Do Bong Soon! But this hoodies aren't just starting to make a sound in Kdrama but the PINK generation lovers are loving it! :) LIKE ME! And do you know that Secret Garden's Hajiwon showed it's strong pink appearance in Secret Garden? :D
